Congratulations to everyone who attended the KCBS certified BBQ judge class in Nelsonville, Ohio on July 27, 2019.  We now have a batch of new judges. Thank you to Scott Grinstead and Steve Grinstead for teaching the class. Thank you to Jim Hanson and Sandi Baker from Foomancho BBQ for cooking up all the meat and thank you to Rocky Boots for the use of their community room for the class.

  1. THANKS FOR THE EDUCATION AND THE 0PPERTINITY TO BECOME A JUDGE..I HAD BEEN IN THE BBQ RESTURANT BUSINESS FOR 27 YEARS..ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A JUDGE..YOUR CLASS WAS LAIED OUT WELL AND THE INSTRUCTOR WAS VERY GOOD..HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR IN KETTERING…. JIM MORRIS

  2. Enjoyed the class very much and look forward to my first opportunity to judge at a competition. I also want to second the appreciation to our host facility, Rocky Boots and to the Foomanchoo bbq team for preparing the samples. You could tell they take pride in their product even when trying to provide a variety of “grades” for us to judge.

  3. The class was not only informative, but enjoyable as well. Big thanks to Scott and Steve, as well as FooManChu BBQ.
